AOW and Uncharted 2
Posted by LiveStock on Saturday, June 06, 2009 at 12:03:30 AM

Alright, Sony was kind enough to send me an invite to the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta, and I can honestly say I was shocked. The online portion of the game is very solid. It has co-op and competitive modes with all the trimmings. They have added such things as a level system with upgrades and slots. The gameplay is a lot like the gameplay from the first game which was pretty good in itself. I didn't like that all the models were just character's from the game which had a ton of people looking the exact same. Hopefully they add some variety when the game releases. Other than that I don't have a lot to complain about. I do know that AOW will be having a blast with this game when it comes out. I will keep everyone posted on details as they come out.

Metal Gear Solid Rising
Posted by LiveStock on Monday, June 01, 2009 at 11:17:01 PM

For those that were watching the countdown has ended for the new Metal Gear game. It will be called MGS: Rising. It seems that Raiden will take the lead in this one. Its tag line is "Lightning Bolt Action" which seams really weird. So far it has only been announced for the 360, but all signs point to a PS3 release as well. Tomorrow is the Sony conference, so hopefully more will be revealed there.

Skate has the power
Posted by LiveStock on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 10:39:52 PM

The AOW clan leaders held a meeting the other day to make some important decisions. First we decided whether or not the reciever is gay, or is it just the giver. After we finally decided that the reciever is only gay if he watches we made a less important choice. We have officially promoted WillSkate4Free to Co-Leader. That's right, Skate has joined the top brass of AOW in order to help us truly run this clan into the ground. So join me in giving Skate a big Congratz, or a big Fuck Off. I'm sure either one will suffice.

AOW update
Posted by LiveStock on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at 10:16:57 PM
It has taken me awhile (as most things do) but I finally have an update for some things. First, here are the game nights for Socom and Killzone 2. I figured out the nights based on votes, and the amount of people per capita that were voting on the polls.

Socom:
Monday
Wednesday
Every other Friday
Every other Saturday
Sunday is optional

Killzone:
Tuesday
Thursday
Every other Friday
Every other Saturday
Sunday is optional

These days are for those of us that own both games. If you don't own both (or any) then disregard this and play whatever you want. Also, We will never force anyone to play a game they don't feel like. This list is only to try and get everyone on the same game so we can group together as a clan. So it's not required you play these nights, but I would like it.

Here is the roster for the clan war in the order that people signed up:
LiveStock
redeagle
apex predator
dmz
peevmyster
trip
marinella
skate
jayrockslife
plague
haven

I will be messaging everyone to let them know that day and time of the war. Please reply quickly to let me know if you can play. If there is any doubt whether you can make it or not, please do not tell me you can. Nothing is worse than coming up a guy short after he said he would be there. Well, I guess there are a few things worse. Like plague's sniper kills with the revolver. Bastard. Anyway, if anybody has an issue or concern with anything I have written here, umm, you can eat my ass raw. Or you can just post a comment on here. See ya in game.

Resident Evil 5 and AOW
Posted by trip777 on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 6:47:36 PM

Well, I have noticed a lot more AOW members playing Resident Evil 5 lately.  I can honestly say that the only other Resident Evil game I had played up to this point  had been Resident Evil 4.  Aside from certain aspects of the games, like not being able to move and shoot at the same time, I find the games to be a whole lot of fun.  In fact, I was pleasantly surprised by them. The graphics of the game are some of the best I have seen.  CAPCOM has once again delivered.  From the In game graphics to the cut scenes,  everything I have seen thus far is smooth.

For the first time in any RE game cooperative play has been introduced as part of the game experience.  As you can imagine, nearly every aspect of Resident Evil 5 is more fun with a friend, either online or via split screen.  Just plug in a second controller hit the start button and find a game.  The game doesn't do a very good job explaining how to do it, but once you figure it out, it is well worth it.

Split screen is handled a bit differently than you may be used to.  CAPCOM has opted to give each player  an equal sized off set rectangle in which to view.  One in the upper left corner and one in the lower right.  Although it appears that less screen in being used and you may be missing something at first, it actually gives you a better opportunity to stay focused on your own character.

However, most players will choose the co-op mode offered by the game.  This is where Resident Evil 5 truly shined.  With the screen all to yourself, it gives you a chance to really see what this game has to offer.  CAPCOM has really hit one out of the park with this one.

So, if any of you AOW members log in and you see someone else playing the game, throw out an invite and enjoy.  If you like playing RE5 in single player mode, you'll love it in co-op mode.

What's up LiveStock. Yeah I would have deleted me, too. I'm going to talk on here more, and I've got a suggestion. I've seen all these games come out since I left and want to know what people think about them, especially the PSN games. We should have a way to list the games we own, so we can ask each other what we think of them.

Sorry Formik, I didn't remember you were away. I cleaned up my list recently and just took off the people that haven't logged in for a long time. Hit me up when you get back.

Well we're still ok up here, apparently we're in a good spot in town, no major concerns as of yet. The city is just hoping the levees will hold for the next 3 to 7 days after the river crests tonight or tomorrow at 41 to 42ft.

To those that I played with/against, I will be back soon. I have been overseas, and am looking forward to playing all these great games that have come out lately in a few months when I return. Thanks to those that still have me on their list.
